This Online Privacy Statement describes how BAS protects the privacy of the personally identifiable information ("PII") you provide through MyEnroll.com.  We want you to understand how we collect and use personal information so you can interact with BAS with confidence. Security

BAS is committed to ensuring the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, technical, and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We encrypt data at rest and data in transit that includes certain PII.  We urge you to take precautions to protect your personal information by changing your passwords often, using a combination of letters and numbers, and making sure you use a secure, up to date browser, among other measures.

Employer Clients

 

BAS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process, in order to provide services to our clients.  We may receive information from our clients about their current, and former employees, as well as their family members.

 

BAS will collect and process personal information as instructed or permitted by our client or you.  BAS may disclose personal information to your employer and to other entities when instructed by your employer.  Your personal information may be disclosed to our affiliated companies, in order to provide services contracted by your employer.  We will also disclose personal information when required by law.

 

Information We Collect

 

We limit the collection of personal information to the information that we need to provide our services and to fulfill legal or regulatory requirements. The personal information we collect is generally determined by your employer through the scope of services.  Such information may include your name, title, company, address, phone number, mailing address, email address, educational and employment information, benefits enrollment data, dependent data, bank account information, and other relevant information to allow us to provide services.  Employer clients may be asked to provide contact information and employer information, including financial and bank account information to provide services. 

How Personal Information is Collected

We may ask you for personal information when you correspond with us, log onto MyEnroll.com, or register to receive materials.

In order to tailor our communications with you and continuously improve our products and services, we may also ask you to voluntarily provide us with information regarding your personal or professional interests, demographics, experience with our products, and contact preferences.

If you register and/or log into MyEnroll.com via BASusa.com, MyEnroll.com or COBRAContol.com, we will collect PII and Electronic Protected Health Information or ePHI, as such term is defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).  In our collection of PII and ePHI, we adhere to HIPAA and privacy standards developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Additionally, BAS only releases the minimum amount of PII and ePHI necessary to perform the transactions for which your employer has contracted (i.e., transactions with insurers for premium billing, benefits enrollment and eligibility, etc.).  BAS makes a concerted effort to maintain security standards in the collection of PII and ePHI including administrative, technical and physical safeguards to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of your personal information.

How Personal Information is Used

BAS uses your information to better understand your needs and provide you with exceptional service. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a transaction, to provide customer service, to communicate back to you, to update you on services and benefits, to comply with legal, reporting and regulatory requirements, to administer and improve our website, and to personalize our web sites for you.

How Aggregated, Non-Personal Information is Used

We also use information we collect for our internal purposes, in an aggregated form, to measure number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed, and other relevant statistics.  We collect this information to measure the use of our website and to improve the content and processes of our website. We may share this information, de-identified and in the aggregate, with other users¿ data from our websites.

How Cookies are Used

We use session-based ¿cookies¿ (small text files that are stored in the browser memory (not your PC's hard drive)) to identify your particular session in the site. In all cases, our cookies only contain your unique session ID number that is created upon your login to the site. Under no circumstances do we keep any of your personal information in a cookie.  When you close your browser, our cookie is destroyed.

Parties with Whom Information May Be Shared

BAS considers the personal information contained in our business records to be confidential.  BAS will not sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to others. Unless we have your permission or are required by law, we will only share the personal data you provide online with other BAS entities and/or business partners who are acting on our behalf for the uses described above. Such BAS entities and/or business partners, including those in the United States and/or any other countries, are governed by our privacy policies with respect to the use of this data and are bound by the appropriate confidentiality agreements.

Accuracy and Access

BAS strives to keep your personally identifiable information accurate. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your information.  To correct your personal information, contact a customer service representative at info@BASusa.com.  Please note that some information changes may have to be completed through your employer.

BAS has not reviewed all of these third party sites and does not control and is not responsible for any of these sites, their content or their privacy policies. Thus, BAS does not endorse or make any representations about them, or any information, software or other products or materials found there, or any results that may be obtained from using them. Your Emails to BAS/MyEnroll.com

If you send emails to BAS, do not include personal information such as your full home address, Social Security Number, and birthdate. To identify yourself in an email, please use your full name and your MyEnroll ID#.  To obtain your MyEnroll ID#, login to www.MyEnroll.com and look to the right of your name and address information.  You will see the title MyEnroll ID#, or similar nomenclature, and your number.

Your Phone Calls to BAS/MyEnroll.com

If you call the BAS/MyEnroll.com customer service center (sometimes referred to as the Benefits Hotline or other similar terminology), the call agents are instructed to confirm your identity by asking you to confirm certain personal identifying information.  Please note: Our call agents are not permitted to confirm your identity by your full Social Security number and you should not voluntarily, or upon request, offer your full Social Security number over the telephone. However, sometimes, our call agents may require you to identify the last 4-digits of your social security number to assist in identifying you.

Your MyEnroll.com User ID and Password

Your MyEnroll.com User ID and Password provides access to your private and personally identifiable information; therefore, you should not share your MyEnroll.com User ID and Password with any co-worker or family member.  Sharing your MyEnroll.com User ID and Password may compromise the security of your personal information.

California Privacy Statement

 

California Civil Code Section 1798 allows California residents to ask companies with whom they have an established business relationship to provide certain information about the sharing of personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes.  BAS does not share any California consumer personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without consent.

 

California Business and Professions Code Sections 22580-22582 prohibits an operator of a website or online service directed to minors to market or advertise a prohibited product or service.  This website is not directed to minors and is not intended to be used by minors.  This website does not market or advertise a prohibited product or service.

 

Social Security Number Privacy Statement

 

BAS collects Social Security numbers in the regular course of its business.  BAS has reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect the Social Security numbers from unauthorized use and disclosure.

 

Children Under Age 13

 

This site is not intended for children under 13 years of age.  BAS does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13). Dependent data needed for benefits enrollment is customarily provided by the employee/guardian.

Oversight

BAS reserves the right to modify or amend this Online Privacy Statement at any time by posting a revised Online Privacy Statement on our site. The changes will only affect the information we collect after the date of the change to our Online Privacy Statement.
